“Our athletes are more than just footballers”

This means that, other than sporting success, our athletes are strong, equipped with intelligence, comradeship, humility, and the ability to live gracefully regardless of our background, as a part of society like other famous footballers, such as Lionel Messi, Gerard Piqué, Carles Puyol, Xavi Hernández, and Andrés Iniesta among others. All of these players passed through the Barcelona academy to become global footballers and role models to youths around the world, for both their talents and gentlemanly manner on and off the pitch.

The academy provides integrated football instruction with a focus on communicating all of the key content through intense, original and modern exercises. This tough training approach is designed as an incentive for the children to develop a strong mental framework and “do as the professional clubs do”.

The key to the academy’s teaching philosophy is “learning by doing”. This is achieved through the use of audio-visual equipment and practical training exercises that utilise modern training equipment which directly corresponds to the content being learnt.

The academy’s approach to training has been compiled by adopting the best techniques applied by many top clubs, both domestic and international, into the curriculum. A dedicated team within the academy is also responsible for updating and modernising the curriculum at all times, to maintain leading standards.

However, the key principle at our academy is for the children to be educated according to their age and maturity, just as all other children are.
